My name is Lori and I’m the blogger and designer behind Greco Design Company. I’m so glad you’re here.
I created this blog as a way to encompass my design services. I’ve been a graphic designer for over 25 years and I help companies build their brand by designing logos, brochures, ads, and all print collateral. After working in a fast paced ad agency in Boston for over 15 years, I created my own design company that’s given me more flexibility and opportunities. I’ve worked on branding, print design, collateral, advertising campaigns and packaging for clients such as Nantucket Island Resorts, White Elephant Hotel, Brant Point Grill Restaurant, The Wauwinet, Nantucket Boat Basin, Linden Square, Wenham Pines, and BlueSky Tower.
I’ve recently extended my design skills into home design including paint and color selections, room layout and complete interior design services. I’ve worked on both commercial and residential properties. And no project is too small. I’ll work to create a space that fits my clients style and budget.
I opened an Etsy shop where I sell my handmade art, wood signs and calendars. I received a B.F.A. at UConn with a minor in art history so I have a real appreciation for fine art. I continue to hone my fine art skills by taking painting and woodworking classes. My watercolor calendars are one of my most popular items along with my rustic, handprinted wood signs.
This blog is a creative way to share some of my recent projects – both home design and print, along with helpful design tips and DIY tutorials. I hope to provide inspiration for decorating your home, creating simple and inexpensive projects, and thoughts on design trends and style.
So on the blog, you’ll get a little bit of everything all in the hopes that you’ll leave feeling inspired to be creative everyday. Even though my posts are about creating pretty things, I hope they help us all with life’s journeys, lessons and observations and try to relate them to how we can design our lives.
Personal. I grew up and live in the Boston area. I love it here. The winters may get a little cold but they don’t last long. Plus the weather in the other three seasons is so pretty and varied, that it makes up for it. I’m also a huge sports fan – Go Red Sox, Bruins & Patriots! I love taking trips into Boston or Providence. And we’re only a few miles from Patriots stadium. I live with my husband, 2 teenage sons and daughter. We also have a yellow lab and they that all keep us very busy!
Collaboration. I love to work with other designers and vendors on all sorts of projects. I’ve worked with local designers on furniture restoration and interior design projects. I’m a member of the creative team and contributor at Kenarry: Ideas for the Home. I’m also a contributor at Hometalk, Darby Smart and I’m part of the BlogHer network. I’m learning new things everyday and I’m open to all sorts of possibilities. Just send me an email (address below) and we can talk about any opportunities! I have been featured on several blogs for some of my DIY projects – which is all really exciting. Blogs including Seattle Refined, Shutterfly, The Handmade Home, Ciera Design, Adventures of Mel, Meatloaf and Melodrama, diy by Design, Posed Perfection, Organized 31, and The Turquoise Home.
I love readers’ requests and suggestions. I often write posts inspired by my readers. I think feedback and comments are so helpful to connect with others. If there are any specific topics you would like to see, please just let me know and I will work on it!
The easiest way to reach me is via email: email@example.com. But you can also send me a message on Instagram, Facebook, or leave a comment below!
