SkinnyPop® Popcorn and Cocktail Pairings (with recipes)

I love popcorn. It could be one of those three foods I would take with me if I had to live on a deserted island. I did a post a few years ago where we did a popcorn taste test because I was getting a little overwhelmed at how many options there are out there. So a taste test was needed to determine which ones were good, mediocre, healthy or not-so-much. Click here to see those results.

SkinnyPop had some of the best results from our taste test so I was excited when I noticed they recently had a popcorn and cocktail pairing promotion. I knew their popcorn was yummy, but I didn’t know that they offer so many different varieties of flavors. And what better way to try out all different kinds of popcorn, than with a cocktail to complement the flavor!? 

So I decided to do my own popcorn and cocktail pairing research. And I did a lot of it. In addition to popped popcorn, SkinnyPop also offers microwave popcorn, popcorn cakes and mini cakes. I also discovered their products are super healthy. Nothing artificial, non-GMO, low in calories, and they’re all gluten free, peanut and tree nut free. Plus they offer dairy-free cheese flavors too.

So after all my research, I wanted to share two of my delicious pairings with you because – well – it’s popcorn and cocktails. And it’s Friday so this is the perfect time for popcorn and cocktails.

My favorite is SkinnyPop’s Original flavor. This classic flavor with a hint of salt is the perfect compliment to my Tiki Rum Punch recipe.
