Happy Friday everyone! I can feel the craziness of spring/summer coming up and all the outdoor activities and events that all seem to happen during these next few months. I wanted to share a sangria recipe with you that is perfect for those spur-of-the-moment summer get togethers, or an easy Mother’s Day brunch, or that busy graduation party. This recipe is so simple ,I feel a little guilty actually calling it a recipe. But it is really good, and the fact that it’s so easy is a bonus for this busy time of year.
A few months ago I posted a recipe for the best sangria ever. And that recipe truly is. I mixed, and chopped, and let part of the concoction sit overnight, and then I mixed some more. If you have the time, you should try it – it really is delicious. But then there are the days that you don’t have the time, or the patience, or the ingredients to make the best sangria ever. So here’s my sangria-in-a-pinch – which is really good too:
Ingredients:
• Red wine (I use Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon or whatever I have on hand)
• Crystal Light Peach Mango Green Tea, mixed according to package
• Limes, sliced
Mix 2/3 part red wine with 1/3 part Crystal Light Peach Mango Green Tea, squeeze the juice of the limes then add the fruit to the mixture. That’s it! So easy. Using the Crystal Light also makes this recipe a little lower in calories so you can have a few more glasses!
It’s easy enough to make a big batch or by the glass. I hope you have a beautiful weekend and enjoy a glass (or two) of whatever your favorite yummy treaty may be!
