I stared this post to give you some of my favorite cocktail recipes – a good way to kick off the summer! What’s better than some nice refreshing drinks! But I would be remiss if I left out my newest non-alcoholic drink crave: infused water. Being a diet coke addict, I knew this was something I had to try. Plus I think I have tried almost every flavored water out there and nothing. tastes. good. to. me. I don’t like to drink my calories, the artificial sweeteners scare me, and I don’t love water – so what’s a girl to do? Infused Water. And it’s super easy to make yourself. Here’s what you do:
For a large batch of infused water, fill a pitcher with water, mix in some chopped up fruits, veggies, and/or herbs and let it sit in the fridge for 2 – 8 hours (depending on how strong you want the flavor to be.)
Here are some great infused water combinations:
Cucumber, Lemon & Fresh Mint
Frozen Grapes, Frozen Strawberries, & Fresh Mint
Peach, Honey Dew, & Cantaloupe
Watermelon & Peach
Kiwi, Raspberry, & Peach
Blackberry & Mint
Make a batch today and you’ll have it for the weekend!
Now for the good stuff.
Here are 5 alcoholic drink recipes that are top on my list. Try one {or all!} and let me know what you think. Click on the links to print the recipe. Or print all the recipes and make a small ringed booklet to keep by your bar, fridge, or serving area {including some recipes of your own}.
1. luau punch {can also make a non-alcoholic version for kids}
2. crantinis
4. sangria
6. blank card {for your favorite recipes}
Here’s the easy recipe booklet instructions:
Print each of the recipes and cut them out. I also included a blank recipe card so you can print as many of those as you like and fill in your favorite beverage recipes. After you print, ideally you should laminate them but this isn’t necessary. Punch a hole in the top left corner of each card. Then use a split ring {like on key chain} or a clip ring – which you can find at any office supply store – to attach the cards.
And with all these summer drinks, you have to try shatterproof glasses. Perfect for sipping by the pool and they’re a step up from the Solo Cups! The Govino glasses look like crystal but are made of a food-safe plastic and are shatterproof. And bonus, they’re only $3 each. Check them out at govinowine.com
I hope you enjoy these refreshing drink options and have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!
