Happy Friday everyone! It’s that time again to share some great recipes I found on the web – we’ve tried them and loved them all. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m running out of ideas for what to make. Dinner is always a challenge and with summer here, I find it hard to also come up with new ideas on what to serve if we have a BBQ or what to bring to a party. I always seem to bring or make the same thing so I really need to mix it up a bit.
These recipes are all easy to prepare, will work for most families, include ingredients that are pretty common, and passed the taste test in our home. I included a link back to each of the original recipe sources but I also give my two cents on each recipe and what we liked best or changed to work for our family.
Click on the links for each recipe and try them yourself. And I’d love to hear your feedback!
Here are my June recipe round-up picks {with my two cents added}:
Tomato, Cucumber, Avocado Salad by Green Valley Kitchen – the perfect addition to any dinner or BBQ and very easy to make. Looks pretty too!
Spicy Grilled Chicken Wings by food.com – we are in love with these wings!! And they are gluten free which is a bonus! Don’t be fooled by the name though, you can make these as spicy or as mild as you’d like by how much red pepper and Tabasco you include.
Peanut Butter Caramel Cookies – by Sprinkle Some Sugar. I love dessert but I’m not a fan of chocolate. what?? I know, crazy. But I am a fan of peanut butter and caramel. Put them together and it’s pure heaven. Great treat to make for a party!
Southwest Turkey Burgers by Rachael Ray – We love turkey burgers here and these add a little have a little extra zing. A few things I changed: parsley for cilantro, and no jalapeno peppers – I was a little nervous they’d be too spicy. I did include the Tabasco – a little spice is good. And they were so yummy! I didn’t make the Spicy O-nuts that are mentioned but I included that recipe here. They are basically spicy onion rings and they sound delicious!
I hope you enjoy your weekend and maybe cook up some {new} yummy dishes!
