I’m here today to prove that even though the blog’s been a little quiet these past few weeks, I haven’t been just sitting by the pool eating bon bons! Although it’s more likely I’ve been sitting at a baseball game eating sunflower seeds.
But it is summer and it is my favorite season. So I have been enjoying the weather, having the kids around, and taking some extra long weekends. It means I’m a little slower getting things done but I’ve been making some progress on our bedroom redesign. Click here to see my inspiration for this room. And I finally got around to painting the walls. The color I picked is called Whiskey Barrel by Behr and it reminds me of chocolate soft serve ice cream. It is just delicious.
I used the Behr Premium Plus Paint & Primer in One from Home Depot. I’m usually a Benjamin Moore gal but I’m really happy with this product too.
It’s a nice rich brown without being too dark. It works really well with our wood furniture, antique nickel hardware, beige pillows, and crisp white trim and bedding. I’ve been adding accents of robin’s egg blue and salmon.
I still have a long way to go on this room but keep following along – I have some fun DIY projects that I think you’ll love.
I hope you’re enjoying your summer and getting in a lot of relaxing and maybe a few projects too.
I'd love to hear your comments!
