When I hear the word trend, I get a little hesitant to get on board. A trend means that something is only around for a short period of time and then it’s gone. And if I’m going to spend the time and money on something for my home or clothes, I’d like it to last and not be a passing trend. So, I’m still calling this a bird trend, mainly because I’ve been seeing birds in all sorts of things lately on pillows, clothes, jewelry, art, and home decor. But I don’t think these birds are flying away anytime soon. The thing I think will make the birds stick around is the fact that there are so many different styles of birds done in so many different mediums that they can appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Note the bedding featured on HGTV {shown above} – beautiful.
When I was trying to gather some bird examples, it was becoming overwhelming. There were so many birds out there! So here are just a few of my favorites. Since it’s spring, think about adding this feathered friend to your home decor, wardrobe or walls. Note: the dress is expensive but I had to include it – I love it! Maybe I can find a knock off at TJ Maxx or Marshalls???
