Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but I need a little home design inspiration. The holiday decorations are down and things are looking a little drab around here. I want something new and fresh and inspiring but I don’t want to go buy a bunch of new stuff. I read this quote and thought it was perfect:
“Our homes should inspire us to go out into the world and do great things & then welcome us back for refreshment.” Love the Home You Have by Melissa Michaels of The Inspired Room.
I think it’s always good to rethink our spaces. Rearrange furniture. Hang that chalkboard in a place where it will be put to better use. Paint an accent wall. Or change that centerpiece for something more dynamic and fun to look at. Silly things like these can make us feel happier in our surroundings and that’s a good thing.
So here are some spaces I found inspiring. All different spaces and all for different reasons. Maybe you’ll be inspired too.
This living space. I know it’s decorated for the holidays but it’s so pretty that it could be left up all year. Those shelves, the wood coffee table. That blue wall.
This bathroom by The Hunter Interior. That wall – and trim(!) – color, the shower curtain chain, the tiles and the brass hardware.
Oh shiplap! Love, love the walls and ceiling.
The herringbone wall, the driftwood chandelier. And all that texture. Yes, please!
This copper and emerald combination is just beautiful. And all those plants. Loving this from The Jungalo.
And just everything about this space. The black doors. The light fixture. The chair combination. And that soft floral sprig.
And you may not be designing a nursery but this room for the color combination, the wallpaper, the framed initials and the bunching curtains. So pretty.
Have a wonderful weekend!
