Today I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things. Most of these are fun, silly things that make my day-to-day life a little happier and easier. Or they’re things that I just think are pretty cool. So a little random goodness that I hope you enjoy.
My first favorite is portrait mode on our phones. It just makes everything – and everyone – look better. I don’t take good selfies so when my son showed me portrait mode, I was hopeful. He took this pic of me when I had beach hair and very little make up on. He told me I looked pretty and that sold it for me. It’s great for close-up product shots and I like how it artistically blurs out the background.
Sweatshirts without hoods. I love these non-hooded versions and I even consider them kinda fancy. This weekend sweatshirt is on sale for $12.99. And this gingham version from Draper James is a little pricier but just adorable. Reese Witherspoon said it was almost sold out. Of course I believed her, so hurry if you want that one.
I’ve been binge watching Marvelous Mrs. Maizel on Amazon, and Good Girls on Netflix. I love a good series. These are funny, smart and both have a lot of girl power.
The Farmer’s Dog – this is an online dog food service that delivers balanced, freshly made pet food. I’ve been using it for my 7 year old lab, Oscar. He’s always been picky about his food but he loves this! You customize the recipes, portion size, and the food comes in convenient pouches. Oscar seems to have more energy and he lost 4 pounds in the past few months. Maybe I should try it?
Hair ties with scarves. These are fun and can really make a ponytail look a little more chic.
Navy blue walls. My parents painted their Cape Cod bathroom Benjamin Moore Kensington Blue and it looks amazing. I hope to bring this color into more homes (maybe mine?). And I’ll be sure to share final pics when its done!
These Camo leggings from Athleta They feel great and aren’t too thin. Good for workouts but I like them more as casual wear. Like all the time.
Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream – I butcher my nails with wood working, paint, stain, excessive washing, etc. so this is a huge help. And I think everyone needs this during these dry winter months.
AirPods. Most of you know how awesome these headphones are and I’m very picky about my headphones. So if you’re contemplating them, go for it. They’re a little pricey, but worth it. Great quality, you can get sweaty and they still work great. Only draw back is they’re small so very easy to lose. I bought this case so I can attach them to any bag, making them a little harder to lose.
Now, I’m looking for a good Podcast to listen to. Or Audio book. Any suggestions?
