Fall seems to have come quickly this year. And just like every year, I’m not ready for the change. I love summer and even though fall is so pretty in New England, I know those bitter cold winter months are ahead. yuk.
But instead of being a downer, I’m trying to embrace this beautiful season and share a few of my favorite ideas for fall… from watercolor leaf banners to a DIY fire pit, to a very cute closet makeover! No more hot beach days, or splashing in the pool but there’s still so much to love about fall. Football, caramel apples and big comfy sweaters will do it for me.
Here are a few of my fave fall ideas! Click the links to go to the original posts.
Watercolor Leaf Banner. If you’re looking for an easy and original fall decoration, this is it! Super easy watercolor painting that anyone can do. Or if you don’t have the time – or the desire – to make your own, I have a bunch for sale in my Etsy shop. Now that’s easy!
DIY Rustic Fire Pit. Build the perfect spot for those crisp fall nights.
Painted Glass Vases. Don’t throw away those food glass jars. Use them to make some pretty simple vases when, grouped together, make a beautiful fall centerpiece.
The Value of a Daily Walk. I still venture out everyday with my pup and the fall weather is ideal, plus it’s a great way to get some exercise and regroup.
My Daughter’s Closet Makeover. This One Room Challenge is a great project for fall. We’re loving this small space I redesigned and it was the perfect solution to a small closet that makes her whole room appear larger. The bonus is that she keeps it super clean!
The Ultimate Slime Recipe. We’re still in slime mode here and this simple recipe will keep your little ones busy for a long time. It can be a gooey project, but such a better alternative to screen time.
Crockpot Mashed Potatoes recipe. With cooler weather come comfort foods, and these mashed potatoes are so good. Make them ahead of time and keep them warm in your crock pot. yum.
Upcycled Gold Desk Organizer. A cute (and inexpensive) way to stay organized with all the schoolwork flying around now.
The Best Sangria Ever. For me, this is a year round drink 🙂 but this red sangria is a good mix for the cooler days.
Let me know if you try any of these fun ideas. Enjoy!
