This is a project that everyone needs for their desk space – a cute accessory. I’ve needed a new mouse pad for a while now. The one I have is about 9 years old {!} and I had it made at a mall keosk where they take a picture of your kids and they print it onto anything you can think of. I remember this day so vividly because I had just gotten my two little boys ice cream after seeing Santa and they were a mess! At first, I was a little embarrassed about how they looked, but since we were having so much fun, I realized that I really didn’t care what they looked like. I’m sure I got some eye rolls from other moms. But I was ok with things not being perfect – including them!
This little mouse pad summed up my time with them. Fun, silly and precious. So even though my kids had messy faces and ice cream dripping down their shirts, I was ok with spending the time and money to document that moment. And look at their smiles – priceless. See why I haven’t changed my mouse pad in 9 years? But it is coming apart and my mouse often gets stuck on it so it’s time to change it. But, I won’t throw this one out {ever} and I’ll find a perfect place for it – maybe as a “tray” on my nightstand.
I found this diy project from fellow bloggers at the handmade home. They have lots of great ideas and diy projects that are very doable! Check them out when you get a chance.
