Happy spring! I’m so looking forward to the warmer weather but I know we’ll be seeing some of those damp, chilly spring days. So I figured I wouldn’t put away the hot cocoa just yet. I did a winter hot cocoa bar post where I shared my homemade recipe and it was a family favorite. Click here to see that post. So I made another batch and set up a bar with a spring twist. bunnies. And I’ve given you all the stuff you need to set up your own little hot cocoa bunny bar.
It’s just another fun and inexpensive way to add some spring touches to your home. It’s a bonus that this decorating idea is also a yummy one.
I started with my homemade hot cocoa recipe mix that really does taste so much better than the store bought versions.
Then I put the mixture in a sealed jar that I got at Michaels. I painted a bunny figure that I also got at Michaels and glued it to the top of the lid. And when you’re done with the hot cocoa, you can us this jar for Easter candy or decoration.
Then round up some treats including mini-marshmallows (bunny tails), chocolate covered sunflower seeds (bunny food), chocolate chips or mini chocolate bunnies (bunny flavor), and some cinnamon sticks (bunny sticks) and you have all the fixins’ for your own hot cocoa bunny bar. I made some labels that you can download for free and tie them to your jars.
I also included a Bunny Bar sign that I clipped to a burlap frame. Or you could attach it to pretty scrapbook paper and put it in a traditional frame.
