Our little half bathroom is coming along in this third week of the One Room Challenge.
This week, I painted the laundry area that’s part of this bathroom and added some brighter and more useful storage bins to this space. A few years ago I removed the awkward folding doors that separated this bathroom from our laundry space. It was more like a laundry closet. But after the doors came off, I redesigned this area so it worked much better and looked prettier too. I definitely have to keep things a little neater but I organized the area so that it was pretty easy to do. Getting the laundry done – not so much.
All the new bins are from Target. And I love how they are all a little different but work well together.
The new paint color is called Stone Harbor by Benjamin Moore. It’s a lighter gray that better matched my new wallpaper and it looks much brighter and cleaner.
I also bought a can of metallic copper spray paint and put it to good use. I gave the plug and outlet covers a copper makeover and I have some DIY artwork in the works that also involve this spray paint. Stay tuned.
I made this typography art and it was super easy. I’ll be sharing all the details very soon.
I love how this adds a fun, kitschy touch to this space.
And my updated to-do list:
change the wallpaper – currently a pretty grasscloth, but it just doesn’t work anymore for this space.paint the trimpaint laundry closet arearethink laundry area storagerepaint vanity- new curtain
- new rug
- better storage for under the sink

THAT WALLPAPER….be still my heart! I would probably wallpaper my whole house if the hubby would let me. But that is truly beautiful! And I love that sweet little sign 🙂 Best of luck with the rest of ORC! Kristin @ Postbox Designs

Thanks Kristin!! I love it too. So pretty in person because the dots have a little shimmer to them…
