stag art prints

I am somewhat of a procrastinator. Anyone with me? I don’t know why, but I often wait until the last minute to do things. My Christmas cards – just finally hit the order button yesterday. Crossing my fingers they’ll be in the mail before Christmas. Same with my holiday shopping. I don’t save it ALL until the last minute, but I definitely don’t finish up early.

And several months ago my good friend asked me to paint her a new stag picture using grays and fuchsia. Did I do it right then? Of course not. I waited. And waited. But I finally did paint that new stag watercolor for my dear, patient friend and I thought I would share it with you. I painted my first stag watercolor last year. It’s black with mostly red flowers on his antlers. And I originally thought it was a great holiday image but I’ve actually left mine up all year!

Then another one of my friends asked me to paint a blue stag for her boys’ bathroom. My guess is that I procrastinated getting that one done too. But I did it. And I love it. It definitely has a more masculine feel since there are no flowers, but the blues are so dreamy.
