shop is up and running | yeah!

I am so excited to announce that I have my shop up and running! The items in my shop are simple – nothing too elaborate – but the things I’ve created have been hung in our home, given as gifts to others or helped with my organization. The shop has calendars, printable invitations, stationary, art prints, personalized name prints… and more stuff is coming.

I’ve always loved creating tangible things whether it’s invitations and decorations for our kids’ parties, or making artwork to hang in our home. And some things come out better than others!! Although I went to art school and was taught how to paint, draw, design, etc., a lot of what I like to do now involves teaching myself how to do it – or at least how to do it in a way that works for me. I recently tried painting with watercolors again and loved it. So check out the original art section where you can order watercolor paintings of inspirational words.

I love typography and graphic design so the art prints in my shop are fun and inspirational. I created all of them with a particular purpose in mind. The “champion” print makes me think of my young kids and what they go through playing sports. The “daughter” print originated from a poem I wrote to my daughter that I framed for her room to remind her how I feel.

I created two calendars because I thought since we look at calendars everyday, they should be pretty – and could even be framed like artwork {don’t get me wrong – I also have a very messy schedule calendar hiding in our pantry closet!}.

The printable invitation packages I created give you the elements you need for a party – and I created all of them from actual parties we’ve had. And the great part is, you download and print the invitations and decorations yourself. So you get to write in your party details and control the quantity you need. I’m still working on how to create editable pdf files so you can type directly onto the designs. Hopefully those will come soon! The personalized name prints are a nice gift item for new babies or a child’s birthday. I’m sure my shop items aren’t gallery-worthy but I’m trying to make all the items fun, useful, pretty and unique.
